Terms of Use
& Disclaimer.

Please read these terms carefully before installing, accessing, or otherwise making use of the Linkstreams application on any device. Linkstreams is a BitTorrent-based media player with no built-in catalog; you supply every magnet link and repo yourself. Last updated: June 21, 2026.

01 — Acceptance

Overview and Acceptance

These terms govern the use of the application “Linkstreams” (the “App”), the RepoCreator browser tool, the linkstreams.app website, and related services (together, the “Software”), provided by the makers of Linkstreams (“Linkstreams”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By installing, opening, or continuing to use the Software, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not install or use the Software and should uninstall the App if it is already on your device.

02 — About the App

What Linkstreams Is

Linkstreams is a general-purpose media player and network tool. The App can load and play back media data over the BitTorrent protocol, using references (magnet links) that you provide. Like a web browser or a traditional torrent client, the App is a neutral, technical utility and is content-neutral: it does not recommend, promote, verify, or endorse any particular stream, title, or rights holder.

Linkstreams is not a platform, streaming service, or content provider. We operate no server that stores, indexes, hosts, transmits, or delivers media content, and no user content passes through us. The App runs on your device and connects you directly to third-party paste services, BitTorrent trackers, the distributed hash table (DHT), and other peers that you choose or that the swarm exposes.

The App ships empty. There is no preinstalled catalog, no search, no recommendation engine, and no account system. Everything you watch begins with a magnet link or repo that you or someone you trust supplied.

03 — Repos

How Repos Work — No Content, No Index

A “repo” is your own list of magnet links, optionally organised into folders, together with a title and description. The App contains no catalog, no preinstalled links, no content search, and runs no index. All repos are provided exclusively by you or by a third party whose paste key you enter.

In practice this works as follows: you assemble your own list of magnet links (typically with RepoCreator) and publish it as a paste on a third-party service that you choose and control (for example, Pastebin). In the App you enter only a short key that points to that paste. When you open a repo, the App fetches the paste directly from that third-party service to your device, decodes it locally, and displays the entries. Playback then runs peer-to-peer, directly between your device and other peers in each torrent swarm.

The repo configuration and the media itself never reside on, pass through, or become visible to any server of ours. We cannot see what a repo contains, cannot alter it, and cannot remove it. RepoCreator encodes configs as ordinary-looking prose text so that a paste resembles plain writing rather than structured data; Linkstreams decodes that prose back into folders and magnet links on your device only.

You may also paste a magnet link directly into the App to stream a single title without a repo. That magnet URI, like every other reference in Linkstreams, is supplied by you.

04 — RepoCreator

RepoCreator & Related Tools

RepoCreator is a neutral, browser-only utility published at linkstreams.app/repocreator/. It converts magnet links and folder structures you type into a block of exportable text. It runs entirely in your browser, stores the last valid draft in your browser’s local storage only, fetches no media, and transmits no repo content to us.

RepoCreator neither verifies nor curates the magnet links you enter. You are solely responsible for the links you encode, export, host on a third-party paste service, share with others, or load into the App. The downloadable Linkstreams APK is our own software and contains no third-party media content.

05 — Streaming

BitTorrent Streaming & Playback

Linkstreams streams video in real time over the BitTorrent protocol. Instead of waiting for an entire file to download, the App requests and assembles pieces in playback order, beginning playback as soon as enough data is available. Cached piece data is kept in memory (and temporary working storage on the device) only for as long as needed to sustain smooth playback and seeking; Linkstreams is not designed to persist complete media files on your device.

To locate peers and metadata, the App may contact BitTorrent trackers embedded in magnet links, query the DHT network, and exchange peer lists with other swarm participants using standard BitTorrent protocol extensions. The App may also display a live seed-health indication derived from swarm statistics so you can judge whether a title is likely to play smoothly before you start it.

Playback is handled by a built-in media engine with hardware decoding where the device supports it, including common codecs such as H.264 and HEVC (including 10-bit HEVC where supported). Actual codec support, resolution, and frame rate depend on your device hardware and on the media contained in the torrent you selected.

Streaming speed, startup time, seek responsiveness, and playback stability depend on factors outside our control, including the number and quality of seeds, peer connectivity, tracker availability, your network connection, and device performance. We do not guarantee that any particular magnet link will play, complete, or remain available.

06 — Platforms

Supported Devices & Permissions

Linkstreams is designed primarily for the living room: Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android phones and tablets. The interface is optimised for directional-pad and remote-control navigation, with visible focus states for TV use. Additional desktop and mobile platforms may be offered in future releases.

The App requires network access to fetch repos from third-party paste services, communicate with BitTorrent trackers and peers, and retrieve optional configuration or update information. On Android it may request permissions such as Internet access, network-state access, wake-lock, and foreground-service capability so that streaming and background network activity can continue reliably while you watch.

You are responsible for ensuring that sideloading or installing the App complies with the policies of your device manufacturer, platform operator, and jurisdiction.

07 — Local data

Data Stored on Your Device

Linkstreams requires no sign-up. Your saved repo keys, playback history, preferences, and similar app state are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user database and do not receive this information unless you choose to contact us separately.

Uninstalling the App removes the application and its local data from your device subject to the behaviour of your operating system. Clearing app storage in system settings has the same effect.

08 — Acceptable use

User Responsibility & Acceptable Use

You are solely responsible for how you use the Software. In particular, you agree to:

Responsibility for the content accessed, shared, or made available through the Software rests entirely with you.

09 — Copyright

Copyright & Complaints

Because repos live on third-party services that you choose and control, and because the App moves data directly between your device, those services, and other peers, we have no technical access to that data: we cannot see it, copy it, alter it, or take it down. We host, store, index, and control no content of any kind. There is therefore nothing for us to remove, and we are not a hosting provider, intermediary, or platform.

Accordingly, we operate no notice-and-takedown procedure, and content-removal requests cannot be actioned by us. Only you, as the creator of a repo, or the third-party service that hosts the paste, or the peers distributing a torrent, can change or remove the underlying material.

Complaints about specific content must be directed to the relevant source instead: for example, the provider of the paste or list service, the trackers concerned, or the individuals who make the content available on the peer-to-peer network. The contact address at the end of this document is for general questions only and is not a channel for content removal.

10 — Third parties

Third-Party Services & Participants

The App interacts with third-party services and participants that are not under our control, including:

We assume no responsibility for the availability, content, policies, security, or practices of these third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

11 — Funding

Funding of the App

The App is provided to you free of charge. In order to cover the costs of hosting, third-party services, and ongoing development, the App may display advertising material and may make limited use of background network bandwidth in order to support associated services.

Advertising placements may be served through reputable advertising networks. Such networks may receive a non-identifying device identifier together with a limited set of technical device signals so that advertising shown is relevant to you and so that the aggregate performance of such advertising may be measured.

By continuing to use the App, you accept the presence of advertising, the related background activity, and the limited data processing required to support both.

12 — Service partners

Background Services & Network Functions

In order to support the continued provision of the App at no direct cost to you, the App may integrate a limited set of third-party service partners and software development kits (collectively, the “Service Partners”) that operate alongside the principal functionality of the App. Some Service Partners may, during periods when the App is open, foregrounded, or running as a background process, make limited use of your device’s networking capabilities, including its outbound network connection, a portion of the network resources available to it, and the public Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with the device.

Such background activity is intended to operate within the technical and bandwidth allowances reasonably available on a modern consumer device and is designed not to materially affect your ordinary use of the device. The relevant activity does not involve the interception of the content of your personal communications, browsing history, account credentials, or comparable personal data.

By installing, opening, or continuing to use the App, you acknowledge that the Service Partners may be active and you consent to the limited use of network capabilities and technical signals described in this clause. You may withdraw such consent at any time by uninstalling the App.

13 — Diagnostics

Diagnostic & Measurement Tools

In order to understand how the App performs in the field, diagnose crashes, and prioritise improvements, the App uses a limited set of established measurement libraries provided by Google Firebase:

These services do not receive your repos, magnet links, media content, playback history, or the titles you choose to watch. Each operates under the privacy terms published by its respective provider. Information received is used to improve stability and usability of the App.

14 — Privacy

Privacy & Peer-to-Peer Notice

Linkstreams runs no application server for your repos or watch history and requires no sign-up. Your repo keys, magnet links, playback history, watch choices, and settings remain on your device unless you choose to share them elsewhere yourself.

When streaming over BitTorrent, your device connects directly to trackers, the DHT network, and other peers. As with any torrent client, your IP address may be visible to these third parties. They are not under our control. If you wish to reduce this exposure, use a trusted VPN or anonymisation service.

Loading a repo causes the App to fetch the paste you provide from a third-party service (for example, Pastebin). That request is made by your device to the third party, not to us. Linkstreams does not receive or track which repos, magnet links, media files, or titles you access. For privacy questions, contact linkstreams@atomicmail.io.

15 — Configuration

Runtime Configuration & Updates

On startup the App may contact a lightweight configuration endpoint operated by us (for example, i.linkstreams.app) to retrieve operational settings. These settings can include the URL of this terms document, optional update availability information, and parameters related to background service partners. The configuration request contains routine technical data such as your app version and device type; it does not include your repos or playback history.

If an update is offered, you choose whether to install it. Continued use of an outdated version is at your own risk.

16 — Warranty

No Warranty

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, availability, freedom from errors, security, non-infringement, or playback quality. We do not warrant that any repo, magnet link, tracker, or peer will remain reachable or that any stream will start, continue, or finish without interruption.

17 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Linkstreams shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Software, including damages related to content accessed through the App, loss of data, device damage, network charges, or actions taken by third-party services or peers.

18 — Indemnification

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Linkstreams harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Software, from any content you access or share through it, or from any breach of these terms.

19 — Changes

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is published at the URL shown in the App’s disclaimer gate and at linkstreams.app/terms.html; the date at the top of this document indicates the most recent change. By continuing to use the Software after an update, you agree to the version then in effect. If you do not accept an updated version, you must stop using the Software and uninstall the App.

20 — Governing law

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
